Hillsboro Beach Luxury Homes are located in the Town of Hillsboro Beach which is situated on a small peninsula north of Pompano Beach. It extends 3.2 miles from the Hillsboro Inlet on the south to Deerfield Beach on the north and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Its greatest width is about 900 feet. It has but one road, State Highway A1A. Travelling north on A1A you will pass some of the most prestigious beachfront property in south Florida - multi-million dollar homes on what is locally known as millionaire's mile.
The name of the town is derived from the Earl of Hillsborough, to whom large grants of land were made by the English Crown during one of the periods of English possession of Florida that alternated with Spanish ownership. Florida came under the flag of the United States by purchase from Spain in 1819.
Dining and entertainment options are not within easy walking distance. To the north is Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton. In Deerfield Beach, shopping and dining is available just west of the Intracoastal Waterway off Hillsboro Blvd. Boca Raton's Mizner Park , to the north on US1, hosts several fine dining and entertainment venues. To the south is Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
