Imperial Point Neighborhood is just south of the Pompano Beach city limits in northeastern Fort Lauderdale, located west of US1 (Federal Highway). Imperial Point was developed in the 1960’s by Haft-Gaines Development Corporation and consists primarily of medium sized homes centrally located to the beaches, shopping, dining, downtown Fort Lauderdale, Interstate 95 and the airports. Close by is Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard offering upscale dining, shopping and entertainment along the Boulevard and Fort Lauderdale’s New River. In addition are: The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, city’s Business District, City and County Government offices, and several city parks. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is a cornerstone to the Himmarshee Arts and Entertainment District which is a quick trip a couple of blocks to the west. Several events are staged in the parks along the Riverwalk’s several parks throughout the year.
